RDVI technicians on an LNG facility conducting Hydrocarbon atmosphere inspections using specialist systems and tooling

Hydrocarbon Atmosphere Inspections

The challenge here was to deploy a non-intrinsically safe (IS), non-EX-rated video scope into a hydrocarbon atmosphere without conducting a full purge of a pressure vessel. This entailed Vertech tailoring a proprietary tool and completing an inspection procedure inclusive of dedicated support tooling within 48 hours of being notified.

Vertech successfully executed and deployed this advanced methodology, which has been expanded and developed to accommodate video scopes and other large PTZ cameras, facilitating safe entry into full hydrocarbon atmospheres.
